Cost: $10 per adult, children free

Do you have a rooster or an old hen you are not sure what to do with? Or perhaps you are considering raising a few broiler chickens to provide your family with inexpensive, healthy meat? Maybe you just want a better understanding of where real food comes from? Processing chicken is easy to do and we will show you how, from start to finish: pasture to plate. You can get as hands-on as you want or just stand back and watch. It’s all up to you. Children are welcome (I promise it will not traumatize them. They usually handle it better than adults). Class attendees get a discount on our fresh, organic, pasture-raised chicken.

So you’ve bought an expensive pasture-raised chicken from your local farmer. But it’s a WHOLE chicken and you can’t eat a whole chicken all at once. Now what do you do? There will be plenty of samples for tasting. Children are always welcome. Class attendees get a discount on any of our farm products on the day of class.
